One Room Challenge Spring 2019- Week 4
Week 4 has been pretty tough and pretty uneventful. My sister and I have been on different schedules this week and my attention has been focused on getting ready for our Kentucky Derby party that we are hosting this Saturday. I don’t have much to share and only have a few minutes left to get this week’s post up, so I’ll keep this one super short and sweet!
We did manage to get these shelves put up in my sister’s little desk nook and entryway. We bought a 12 ft piece of common board for about $20, had it cut to the size we wanted right at Home Depot, and used these super inexpensive brackets from Amazon. They still need to be styled, but turned out pretty cute!
While I was out shopping for myself, I picked up a few details mostly from Michaels and JoAnn. The casa beads are from Amazon, and the vase is from Anthropologie. I love the small faux Fiddle Leaf Fig stems that were on sale for $6 at Michaels.
Our electrician AKA dad, came over to get the new light fixture started. The baskets were supposed to go right over the existing light fixture, but they were about a 1/2 inch too small. We bought a small hanging pendant on Amazon (link coming soon) for $10 so we can still use the baskets. I still have to attach the larger basket to the bottom.
Things are starting to come together! I hope to get the curtains hung and the light fixture finished this week. I also want to get the DIY planters checked off the list. We will see how much actually gets done with the party coming up! Be sure to check out the other One Room Challenge progress!
